Monthly management packs for Australian trucking, quarry, concrete and landscape supply businesses

Your fuel, credits and quarry spend, in one monthly pack.

Your BP Plus statements come straight to us on a schedule, so there's nothing to send. Each month we send back a short management pack: your fuel tax credits (FTC) worked out truck by truck for the BAS, where your fuel is going, what you're paying per tonne, and anything worth a closer look.

Done for you, no software to learn FTC at the ATO rate on each fill date Every figure traced to a docket or statement line Pack from $49 a month, with bookkeeping and finance add-ons on enquiry

Tested on a real fleet

What a year of one fleet's fuel and quarry data turned up.

A family-run Victorian tipper and agitator operator ran a year of BP Plus statements, quarry dockets and running costs through our process, and we checked the result against their own books. It came back more accurate, with far more detail per truck, and took around two hours a month of data entry off their plate.

Who it's for

Built for the people doing the fuel paperwork.

Operators

You run the trucks.

And you probably do the books after hours as well. Your fuel card statements come straight to us, and we send back the answers, with nothing new to learn.

  • Your fuel tax credits for the BAS, worked out truck by truck
  • Which truck is using the most fuel, and what it's costing you
  • What you're paying per tonne at each quarry, and on which trucks
  • Best suited to fleets of around 10 trucks and up

Bookkeepers and accountants

You do their BAS.

Applying one rate to a quarter's total is quick, but it smooths over mid-quarter rate changes and each truck's split. We give you per-truck accuracy without the per-truck effort.

  • An FTC schedule for each transport client, ready for the BAS
  • Rate changes mid-quarter handled for you
  • Workings line by line, so you can sign off with confidence
  • Worked from the fuel card data, so there's less chasing the client

Red = overdue. Yellow = due within 30 days. Rego from the VicRoads extract, insurance from your policy schedule.

Four things this month. T05's registration ran out on 25 August, so it shouldn't be on the road until it's renewed. Fuel spend is up 7.1%, roughly half from price and half from more litres. T07 and T03 are burning 16 to 19% more than the fleet. Three fills don't fit the pattern and are worth a question (page 05).

Fuel tax credits

Credit by month, $k. Each month is the sum of fill-level credits at the ATO rate in force on the fill date.

Why April to June dipped. Litres held steady, but the rate for off-road and auxiliary use was cut from 52.6c to 20.6c when fuel excise was reduced. A single rate across the quarter would have got this wrong.

T07 and T03 sit 16 to 19% above the fleet on the same quarry run, so the route isn't the explanation. Worth checking tyre pressures and injectors at the next service.

Add-ons

From the monthly pack through to the full set of books.

The pack is the place to start. If you'd like a hand with more of the numbers, the work below can be added on, as an ongoing service or a one-off job. It isn't included in the $49. Tell us what you need on the fleet check call and we'll quote it before any work starts.

Ongoing

Bookkeeping and BAS

  • Full bookkeeping service. Your books kept up to date, with financial reports each month.
  • BAS preparation. Your BAS prepared each quarter, with the fuel tax credits already worked out.
  • Financial reporting. Profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow, set out so they're easy to read.
  • Bookkeeping file tidy-up. A clean-up of your Xero or MYOB file, so the numbers coming out of it can be trusted.
Ongoing or one-off

Reviews and checks

  • Analytical review. A look across the whole business: what's moved, why, and what's worth a closer look.
  • Debtor and creditor analysis. Who owes you, who you owe, and how long it's taking to get paid.
  • Quarry order plate checks. Every plate on your quarry orders checked against your own trucks and approved subbies, to pick up errors and loads that shouldn't be on your account.
  • Product purchase benchmarking. What you pay per tonne against other operators buying the same product. Anonymised and opt-in, and coming as more fleets join.
One-off

Decisions and one-off jobs

  • Job costing with a margin review. What a job really cost against what you quoted, and where the margin went.
  • Lease vs buy. The numbers on leasing or buying your next truck or piece of plant, side by side.
  • Financial modelling. Cash flow forecasts, budgets and what-ifs for a new truck, contract or yard.
  • Reports for the bank. Your figures set out for a finance application or a review with your lender.

If there's something else you'd like a hand with, mention it on the call. Add-ons are quoted to suit your business, and nothing starts until you've agreed the price.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

No. Your fuel card statements come straight to us, we do the work, and we send you the pack each month. A login where you can see everything yourself is on the way, but you'll never need it to get your numbers.
For BP Plus, nothing. We set up a scheduled email at onboarding so your statements come straight to us each month. If you'd like the quarry, burn rate or running cost sections, we'll work out the easiest way to get dockets, kilometres and repair costs with you.
A 20-minute call, then an audit and suitability check on a sample of your data. You'll find out whether the pack suits your fleet, and where your data and bookkeeping could be tidied up. It's free, whether or not you go ahead.
We read Heidelberg Materials docket exports today, and Boral is next. If your quarry can give you dockets or a monthly statement, there's a good chance we can work with it. Ask us on the call.
BP Plus today, with Ampol next. If you use a different card, get in touch. The first ten operators who share their statements so we can add their card get six months free.
No, and it doesn't need to be. We apply the rates the ATO publishes, using the date of each fill, and show the workings. You or your accountant still lodge your BAS the usual way.
Yes. We set each truck's on-road and off-road percentage with you, and change it when a truck's work changes. You should be able to back up the split you use, and your accountant can help with that.
Yes. Send older statements and we'll work them out at the rates that applied back then. If it turns out you've underclaimed, the ATO generally gives you four years from the original BAS due date to claim fuel tax credits (ATO guidance). Your accountant can tell you the best way to fix it.
The monthly pack is from $49 a month including GST for one fleet, or $490 a year. Accountant plans start at $49 a month for up to five clients. The first 10 businesses to sign up get their first month free. Add-ons like bookkeeping, BAS preparation and one-off analysis aren't part of that price and are quoted separately. See pricing.
Yes. Bookkeeping with monthly financial reports, BAS preparation, debtor and creditor analysis, quarry order plate checks, job costing, lease vs buy and financial modelling can all be added on, as ongoing work or a one-off job. These sit outside the $49 pack. Tell us what you need on the fleet check call and we'll quote it before any work starts. See the add-ons.
Owner-drivers with one or two trucks, where the claim is small enough that the paperwork was never the problem, and big fleets already running telematics with FTC built in. It's built for fleets of around 10 trucks and up, and the accountants who look after them.
It's used to prepare your pack and any add-on work you've asked for, and nothing else. We don't share it or sell it. Benchmarking only ever uses anonymised figures from operators who have opted in.
